Albums
The discography of the American rock group Toto includes 13 studio albums, four live albums, as well as numerous compilations. Toto has released original music and collaborated with other artists on soundtracks and films. The group has won multiple Grammy Awards.
Before Toto was formed the members of the group performed session work for other musicians. Drummer Jeff Porcaro, bassist David Hungate and keyboardist David Paich (the son of session drummer Marty Paich and brother of guitarist Joe Porcaro) played on Boz Scaggs album from 1975 Silk Degrees. The collaboration led to the formation of Toto in 1976.

Toto released Toto XX in 1998 to commemorate its 20th anniversary. The band went through old tapes and recordings to create the unique record. The album was well-loved by fans and Toto began an extensive tour with former members Bobby Kimball Steve Porcaro and Joseph Williams.
Shem Von Schröck replaced Leland Sklar as drummer on the tour for the 40 Trips Around the Sun album. In 2017, Toto released a double-CD live album titled Falling in Between, which included live recordings from the tour as well as an interview with the group.

He was replaced by bassist Leland Sklar.

The track "Africa" is from the album Toto IV. The song was written by band members and produced David Paich. It was a big hit in Europe and other countries. The success of the single helped Toto to regain their fame after their previous album Turn Back failed to chart in America.

In 1985 the drummer Fergie Frederiksen resigned from Toto due to personal reasons. Toto decided to hold an audition and ultimately chose Joseph Williams to replace Frederiksen.
